Saudi ‘Tornado’ Crashes, Crew Survives

A Tornado fighter jet has crashed during a training mission in the Eastern Province and its crew survived, the Saudi Defense Ministry has said.

The incident took place at 3:44 pm Monday during a routine mission in the training area of the King Abdulaziz Air Base in Dhahran.

No one on the ground was injured and the crew survived, the ministry said.

An investigation into the incident has been launched, it added.

Saudi Commander of the Joint Forces Lieutenant General Fahd bin Hamad Al-Salman met in Riyadh with US Ambassador to Yemen Steven Fagin and his accompanying delegation, SPA reported.
The two sides discussed the latest developments in Yemen and reiterated their commitment to advancing the peace process to achieve security and stability for the Yemeni people.
Fagin expressed his appreciation for the Kingdom's contributions to relief and development projects in Yemen.
