The Yemeni government welcomed on Friday the efforts being exerted by Saudi Arabia, Oman, the UN and the international community to resolve the country’s crisis and alleviate the suffering of its people.
In a statement, the Yemeni government reiterated that it welcomes all initiatives aimed at bringing about comprehensive peace, in accordance with the three terms of reference, the Gulf initiative, its executive mechanism, outcomes of the national dialogue and relevant UN resolutions, in a way that ensures an end to the Houthi coup and brings stability to Yemen.
A Houthi delegation was on Friday set to carry out negotiations in Saudi Arabia.
The Kingdom wanted to resume its and Oman's efforts to "reach a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire in Yemen and a sustainable political solution acceptable to all Yemeni parties," the Saudi Press Agency said.
