Saudi Crown Prince, Macron Discuss Gaza Situation

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has received a telephone call from French President Emmanuel Macron.

During the call on Wednesday, the ongoing military escalation in Gaza was discussed.

The Crown Prince stressed the need to discuss ways of halting the military operations that claimed the lives of innocent people.

He also emphasized the Kingdom’s endeavor to intensify communication, work to calm the situation, halt the current escalation, and respect international humanitarian law, including lifting the siege off Gaza, and work to create conditions to bring stability and restore the path of peace to ensure that the Palestinian people would obtain their legitimate rights and achieve fair and lasting peace.

The Crown Prince also stressed the Kingdom’s rejection of targeting civilians or disrupting the infrastructure and vital interests that affect their daily lives.

The 17th relief plane of the Saudi air bridge, operated by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), left King Khalid International Airport for Lebanon on Friday, carrying food, shelter, and medical supplies.

The assistance is given at the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to aid the Lebanese people in the critical circumstances they are going through.

It reaffirms Saudi Arabia's longstanding support for the Lebanese people in times of crisis.
