The General Authority of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization (ARCO) condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, which ignored the principles of international humanitarian law and all international laws, conventions and norms.
In a statement, ARCO called on the international community to shoulder responsibilities to stop the ongoing Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip, provide urgent relief to the population, and let humanitarian aid flow through the crossings.
In an urgent extraordinary meeting, ARCO also reviewed the extent of the humanitarian tragedy for the civilian population of the Gaza Strip and the destruction of the civilian infrastructure, which paralyzed public life due to the continuous Israeli bombing.
According to SPA, ARCO called for providing urgent relief to the population, opening the crossings for humanitarian aid to enter, and securing corridors for the arrival of relief aid and relief crews into the neighborhoods of the Gaza Strip.
The authority expressed its comprehensive support for the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in order to enhance its humanitarian services within the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.
