Saudi Leadership Condoles Kazakh President over Victims of Coal Mine Explosion

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud extended his condolences to Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev over the victims of a coal mine explosion that claimed the lives of many individuals and left others missing, SPA said on Monday.

In his cable the King said: “We extend our deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the families of the deceased and the Kazakh people, we pray to Allah Almighty, to bestow his mercy and forgiveness upon the deceased and grant patience and solace to their families”.

An explosion at the Kostenko mine in the Karaganda region of the Republic of Kazakhstan left tens dead and many people missing.

Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud also extended condolences to the Kazakh president.

In his cable the Crown Prince said: "I have received news of the explosion that occurred at the Kostenko mine in the Karaganda region of the Republic of Kazakhstan, resulting in loss of lives and missing individuals. I extend the deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to Your Excellency and the families of the deceased, praying to Allah Almighty to bestow his mercy upon the deceased and return the missing safely."

The officials discussed the current developments in Lebanon and the efforts to address the crisis.
