The Arab Parliament urged on Friday the need to stop the violations by Israeli forces against Palestinian women, saying thousands of them have become victims of war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide practiced by Israel.

In a statement on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, which falls on November 25 of each year, the Arab Parliament launched an urgent appeal to the international community to save women in the Gaza Strip and release the women prisoners.

It also called on the international community to play its role at all political, diplomatic and legal levels to provide protection for Palestinian women and girls and hold Israel accountable for its crimes and violations against them.
