Renewed strikes hit southern Beirut on Thursday, after the Israeli military warned people to evacuate the area.
The Israeli military’s Arabic-language spokesman Avichay Adraee called in several posts on X for the evacuation of specific buildings in Beirut’s southern suburbs, warning that it was ready to strike Hezbollah targets there.
Strikes also hit south Lebanon, including the border town of Khiam where Israeli troops are pushing to advance, according to Lebanon's National News Agency.
Israel and the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah have been locked in a deadly war since Sept 23, which has killed more than 3,000 people in Lebanon.
Israel’s military says several soldiers have been killed in the Lebanon campaign since it began ground operations on Sept 30.
