Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and US President Donald Trump discussed ways for more cooperation between Riyadh and Washington and expanding their partnership.

During a phone conversation on Wednesday evening, the Crown Prince conveyed the congratulations of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his own congratulations to the President on the occasion of his inauguration, and wished the friendly American people more progress and prosperity under Trump’s leadership.

The two leaders discussed ways for cooperation between the Kingdom and the US to promote peace, security and stability in the Middle East, in addition to enhancing bilateral cooperation to combat terrorism.

The leaders also discussed ways to enhance bilateral ties in various areas, and the Crown Prince noted the US administration’s ability to create unprecedented economic prosperity and opportunity through anticipated reforms in the United States, and that the Kingdom seeks to participate in these opportunities for partnership and investment.

The Crown Prince affirmed Saudi Arabia's intention to broaden its investments and trade with the US over the next four years, in the amount of $600 billion, and potentially beyond that.

The President expressed his appreciation and thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince for their congratulations, and affirmed his keenness to work with the Kingdom on all that falls in the interest of both countries.

Saudi Arabia and Kuwait stressed the need for a firm international stance against terrorist attacks by the Houthi militia and for efforts to restore security and stability in the region.

The call came during talks between Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and his Kuwaiti counterpart, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, in Riyadh on Wednesday.

The two ministers discussed the latest regional developments and efforts to de-escalate tensions and contain unrest, with the aim of restoring security and stability across the region.

They also reviewed the longstanding fraternal relations between their countries and explored ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields.

According to Kuwait's Foreign Ministry, Sheikh Jarrah reiterated Kuwait's strong condemnation of the terrorist attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against several areas of Saudi Arabia, including attempts to target the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.

He stressed that these attacks constituted a flagrant violation of Saudi sovereignty, a blatant breach of international law and international humanitarian law, and an assault on the sanctity and religious significance of Islamic holy sites, provoking the sentiments of Muslims around the world.

Sheikh Jarrah warned that the continuation and repetition of these systematic hostile acts, including attacks on civilian infrastructure and vital facilities, represented a dangerous escalation and a direct threat to the Kingdom's security and regional stability.

He added that the attacks posed serious risks to civilian safety and aviation security, requiring a firm international response to ensure that those responsible are held accountable.

The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry said the two sides reviewed the deep-rooted historical ties and strong relations between their countries and peoples.

They reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation and coordination across all fields and levels, in line with the directives of their leaderships and their aspirations for greater integration and cooperation.

Prince Faisal and Sheikh Jarrah also discussed regional developments and their implications for security and stability, while reaffirming the longstanding historical bonds and close relations between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

The two ministers emphasized the importance of continued Saudi-Kuwaiti consultations and coordination at all levels and of intensifying joint efforts to address current challenges amid the sensitive circumstances facing the region.

They underscored their countries' shared destiny and common interests, as well as their commitment to strengthening the foundations of regional security and stability.

Sheikh Jarrah had arrived in Riyadh earlier for an official visit and was received at King Khalid International Airport by Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed Elkhereiji.

The ministers of media and information of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) issued a statement on Wednesday during their 29th meeting in Manama, Bahrain, underscoring that the cohesion and solidarity among the GCC states, their leaderships, and their peoples represent a robust pillar for protecting security and stability and safeguarding Gulf achievements.

They stressed that Gulf unity is a shared responsibility and a steadfast commitment among the GCC states, the significance of which increases in light of current circumstances to confront challenges and their repercussions.

Furthermore, the ministers underlined their categorical rejection of anything that aims to undermine Gulf unity or offend the GCC states, their symbols, and their peoples, SPA reported.

They stressed the importance of intensifying the monitoring and documentation of violations committed across various media outlets and digital platforms, and taking all necessary legal measures to hold perpetrators accountable by the competent authorities in each state.

This will be carried out through the application of national regulations and the relevant Gulf decisions and regulations approved by the GCC states, in accordance with the procedures followed in each state, as per the statement.

The ministers called on media institutions, media professionals, and users of social media platforms to adhere to their responsibilities, ensure accuracy, and obtain information from official sources, while avoiding the publication or circulation of offensive or misleading content.

They emphasized that the sensitive nature of the current phase necessitates concerted efforts to safeguard Gulf unity, solidify fraternal ties among the peoples of the GCC states, and support all that fortifies their security and stability.

Saudi Arabia participated in the Third Ministerial Meeting of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held in Baku, Azerbaijan, with a delegation headed by President of the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) Mazin bin Ibrahim Al-Kahmous.

In his address, Al-Kahmous emphasized Saudi Arabia's practical steps under Vision 2030 to enhance transparency and combat corruption, and called on member states to adopt a draft resolution submitted by the Kingdom on strengthening information exchange among anti-corruption authorities and cooperation in asset recovery and return, including signing the GlobE Network information exchange agreement.

He urged the remaining OIC member states to complete the ratification process for the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Convention on Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Cooperation, expressing hope that the meeting's outcomes would serve the shared interests of Islamic nations in combating corruption and reducing safe havens for offenders.

Saudi Arabia's participation reflects its commitment to international anti-corruption efforts, in line with Vision 2030's emphasis on governance, transparency, and accountability.
