Riyadh hosted on Friday an unofficial meeting that brought together the leaders of Gulf Coordination Council (GCC), Egypt and Jordan.
At the invitation of Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the gatherers discussed bolstering cooperation and coordination between their countries.
The meeting was attended by Jordan's King Abdullah II and Crown Prince Hussein, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and National Security Adviser Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Meshal al-Ahmad al-Sabah and Bahrain's Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa,
A Saudi source had said earlier that the gathering is part of the regular meetings that have been held for years between the GCC countries and Egypt and Jordan given their close fraternal relations.
Such talks will help boost cooperation and coordination between them, it added.
