MWL Welcomes OIC Resolutions on Palestine and Syria

The Muslim World League (MWL) has welcomed the resolutions adopted by the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) during its 20th extraordinary session, particularly concerning Palestine and Syria.
In a statement issued by the MWL General Secretariat, Secretary General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa reiterated the MWL’s strong support for the OIC’s stance on Palestine until a just and lasting peace is achieved, ensuring the full rights of the Palestinian people.
Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa also praised the decision of the member states’ foreign ministers to reinstate Syria’s membership in the OIC, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts to support the Syrian people and government in overcoming challenges and restoring security and stability in the country.

Saudi Defense Minister, UAE President Meet in Abu Dhabi

Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz met on Wednesday with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Qasr Al Shati in the Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi.

The meeting, which came at the directives of the Kingdom’s leadership, addressed the strong fraternal ties and areas of cooperation between the two nations, while discussing ways to enhance regional security and stability, the Saudi Press Agency said on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the defense minister conveyed the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He expressed their wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the government and people of the UAE.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed also extended his greetings and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Saudi Crown Prince.
