Kuwait’s Criminal Court has sentenced former MP Saleh Al-Mulla to two years of hard labor on charges of undermining national security.

In January, the Public Prosecution released Al-Mulla on a bail of 1,000 dinars after investigating him for challenging the authority of the Emir and misusing his phone through a tweet posted on his X account last May.

Al-Mulla denied any wrongdoing.
