On behalf of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the French Republic, and the main participating countries in the working groups of the international conference, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah endorsed the final document of the high-level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Palestinian Question and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution.

The endorsement took place at the conclusion of the second day of the conference, held at United Nations headquarters in New York City and co-chaired by the Kingdom and France, the Saudi Press Agency said on Thursday.

“These outcomes reflect comprehensive proposals across political, humanitarian, security, economic, legal, and strategic narrative tracks, and they form an integrated and actionable framework for implementing the two-state solution and achieving peace and security for all,” the foreign minister said.

Prince Faisal called on all UN member states to support the final document before the conclusion of the upcoming session of the UN General Assembly in September.

He reiterated Saudi Arabia’s condemnation of all attacks by any party targeting civilians, including indiscriminate attacks, all assaults on civilian infrastructure, provocative actions, incitement, and acts of destruction.

The document includes an agreement to work jointly toward ending the war in Gaza and reaching a just, peaceful, and lasting settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, based on the effective implementation of the two-state solution, and to build a better future for Palestinians, Israelis, and all peoples of the region.

The three-day Two-State Solution Conference aimed to adopt irreversible and time-bound concrete steps toward a peaceful resolution of the Palestinian cause and to accelerate the implementation of the two-state solution, ultimately realizing — through tangible action — the independent Palestinian state and securing the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to live in dignity on their land.

Kuwait's foreign ministry issued on Sunday a circular indicating that it had listed eight hospitals in Lebanon as part of regulations related to "combating terrorism.”

Lebanon's health ministry expressed surprise and said it would seek clarification.

It said it received the Kuwaiti statement "with great surprise", adding it had not been provided with "any information or notification from any Kuwaiti entity about this matter.”

"The hospitals mentioned in the statement are registered with the syndicate of private hospitals in Lebanon and carry out their role in providing treatment and health services to all Lebanese without exception," the ministry statement said.

It called the facilities "an essential part of the Lebanese health system,” and said it would contact the relevant authorities to request clarification and "protect Lebanon's health system.”

It noted that "Kuwait has numerous joint projects with the ministry... and has been among the most prominent countries that have stood by the health system during the successive crises that Lebanon has faced.”

The latest move was "unprecedented and inconsistent" with the Gulf country's usual approach, it added.
