The International Falcon Breeders Auction (IFBA) 2025 kicked off on Tuesday at the Saudi Falcons Club headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh, reported the Saudi Press Agency.
The event features the participation of international breeding farms and reflects the Kingdom’s progress and global leadership in falconry, along with its continued support for the falcon breeding industry.
The auction is considered a trusted global platform for showcasing and selling elite, top-tier falcon breeds. Running over 21 days, it offers a competitive environment that brings together falcon breeders and falconers from inside and outside the Kingdom.
Professionally organized to the highest standards, the event features dedicated pavilions for breeding farms, an auction sales area, falconry supplies pavilions, a “Falconer of the Future” pavilion, and interactive demonstrations by breeders on care and training methods.
Saudi Falcons Club Spokesperson Walid Al-Taweel stated that the auction is part of the club’s efforts to boost the Kingdom’s global presence in the falconry sector.
This year’s edition witnesses broad international interest, building on previous successes, with over 2,300 falcons sold over four years and total sales exceeding SAR29 million, he added.
The auction is regarded as a regional and international hub that connects breeders and falconry enthusiasts in a professional and secure setting, contributing to the development of falcon breeds and encouraging investment in this promising sector, he went on to say.
The auction runs until August 25 and features daily live broadcasts of its activities on TV channels covering the event and the club’s social media platforms. This allows audiences, falconers, breeders, and enthusiasts worldwide to follow the proceedings and sales in real time.
