The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Masam Project detonated 1,140 explosives across Yemen during the second week of August, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday.
The cleared explosives included 1,090 items of unexploded ordnance, 49 anti-tank mines, and one anti-personnel mine.
The latest efforts bring the overall number of mines removed since the beginning of the Masam Project to 509,612.
These mines were planted randomly throughout Yemeni territory, posing a severe threat to innocent civilians—particularly children, women, and the elderly—and spreading fear among peaceful communities.
