The Arab League strongly condemned the statements made by the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, regarding what he called "Greater Israel," considering these statements as a disregard for the sovereignty of Arab countries and an attempt to undermine regional security and stability.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Secretariat General of the Arab League affirmed that these statements represent a serious threat to collective Arab national security and a flagrant challenge to international law and the principles of international legitimacy, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The secretariat stressed that Israel’s rhetoric reflects unacceptable expansionist and aggressive intentions, exposing an extremist mindset steeped in colonial delusions.
The secretariat called on the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to assume its responsibilities and firmly confront such extremist declarations, which threaten stability and fuel further regional hostility and rejection toward the occupying state.
Netanyahu had on Wednesday again called for what he refers to as the voluntary migration of Palestinians from the war-ravaged Gaza territory, and what critics have warned could be ethnic cleansing.
