Saudi Foreign Minister Discusses Situation in Gaza with Several Counterparts

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, discussed with foreign ministers of several nations Israel’s aggression against the Palestinian people on Gaza.

His meetings came on the sidelines of the 21st Extraordinary Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation member states held in Jeddah on Monday.

The Saudi Minister held separate talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq Fuad Hussein, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Algeria Ahmed Attaf and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt.

Talks reviewed the relations between Saudi Arabia and the respective countries, and highlighted the latest developments in the region, particularly in the Gaza Strip and the efforts being exerted in this regard. They also discussed its repercussions on regional security, as well as ongoing efforts to deliver urgent humanitarian aid.

The Saudi Minister also held talks with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar. The two officials discussed bilateral relations and regional and international developments, most notably those in the Gaza Strip.

During his talks with his Syrian counterpart, Asaad Al-Shaibani, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation between their countries. They also addressed efforts to support regional security and stability, focusing on the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and their political and security implications.

With his Gambian counterpart, Sering Modou Njie, Prince Faisal reviewed bilateral relations, addressed the latest developments in Gaza, and discussed issues of mutual interest.

The Muslim World League (MWL) condemned the Israeli strikes targeting military infrastructure in southern Syria.

In a statement, MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa described the attack as a violation of international laws and norms, particularly the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.

He reaffirmed full solidarity with Syria and its people against actions that undermine its sovereignty and threaten its security and stability.

Israel's military said on Friday it had struck southern Syria in response to what it called attacks against the Druze community in Sweida province.

Saudi Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz received a telephone call from Palestinian counterpart Ziad Mahmoud Mohammed Hab Al-Reeh, the Saudi Press Agency said Sunday.

During the call, the two sides exchanged Eid al-Fitr greetings and discussed regional and security developments.

The Palestinian minister expressed his country’s condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom, the Gulf states, and the region, reaffirming the State of Palestine’s solidarity with all measures taken by Saudi Arabia to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its territory and citizens.

Prince Abdulaziz expressed appreciation for these sincere fraternal sentiments, emphasizing the depth of bilateral relations and continued coordination on issues of common interest.

OIC Condemns Israeli Attacks on Military Infrastructure in Southern Syria

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the attack carried out by Israel on military infrastructure in southern Syria, denouncing it as a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, the Saudi Press Agency said on Sunday.

It also denounced Israel’s attempts to undermine stability and disrupt peace in the region.

The Secretariat held the Israeli occupation forces fully responsible for the continued attacks. It reaffirmed the OIC’s support and solidarity with Syria and called on the international community to take decisive action to enforce relevant resolutions and international law, ensuring respect for Syria’s sovereignty, unity, security, and stability.
