The Saudi government reiterated on Tuesday the Kingdom’s call for an immediate end to the war on Gaza, stressing the importance of international efforts to end the humanitarian catastrophe in the Palestinian enclave.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the Cabinet session in Riyadh.

Crown Prince Mohammed briefed the Cabinet on the content of a message he received from Russian President Vladimir Putin and on his meeting with State of Palestine Vice President Hussein Al-Sheikh.

The ministers reviewed regional and international developments, with a focus on the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Cabinet noted the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to engage with the international community to end the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and ensure the delivery of relief aid in full cooperation with international mechanisms.

The Cabinet underscored the significance of the joint statement by the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Italy, which underlined their commitment to achieving a just, secure, and comprehensive peace in the Middle East.

It also called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and condemned any actions that jeopardize the two-state solution.

On the domestic level, the Cabinet praised Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud's patronage of the ninth Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference.

The event, to be held in Riyadh from October 27 to 30, will focus on using investment to create a prosperous and sustainable future for humanity under the theme "The Key to Prosperity."

Kuwait's foreign ministry issued on Sunday a circular indicating that it had listed eight hospitals in Lebanon as part of regulations related to "combating terrorism.”

Lebanon's health ministry expressed surprise and said it would seek clarification.

It said it received the Kuwaiti statement "with great surprise", adding it had not been provided with "any information or notification from any Kuwaiti entity about this matter.”

"The hospitals mentioned in the statement are registered with the syndicate of private hospitals in Lebanon and carry out their role in providing treatment and health services to all Lebanese without exception," the ministry statement said.

It called the facilities "an essential part of the Lebanese health system,” and said it would contact the relevant authorities to request clarification and "protect Lebanon's health system.”

It noted that "Kuwait has numerous joint projects with the ministry... and has been among the most prominent countries that have stood by the health system during the successive crises that Lebanon has faced.”

The latest move was "unprecedented and inconsistent" with the Gulf country's usual approach, it added.
