Saudi Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan has met with his French counterpart, Rachida Dati, at the Palace of Versailles.
Thursday’s meeting on the sidelines of the Orchestral Masterpieces Concert in Paris came during his visit to France to enhance the existing cultural cooperation between the two countries.
The ministers signed an executive program for cultural cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and the Grand Palais, represented by the French Ministry of Culture.
The meeting addressed cultural relations in various sectors, most notably music, film, heritage, museums, fashion, libraries, theater and performing arts, and visual arts. This included activating the executive program between the Saudi Film Commission and the French National Center of Cinema (CNC) to develop educational methods for filmmaking.
Meeting participants discussed the executive programs signed during the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to the Kingdom in December 2024.
These programs aim to enhance international cultural exchange and expand the horizons of the growing cultural partnership between Saudi Arabia and France.
