Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz held talks in Riyadh on Tuesday with commander of United States Central Command (CENTCOM) Admiral Brad Cooper.
They discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation between their countries in defense fields, as well as recent developments in the region and joint efforts to maintain international security and peace.
Chief of General Staff Lieutenant-General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Commander of the Joint Forces Lieutenant-General Fahd bin Hamad Al-Salman, and Advisor to the Minister of Defense for Intelligence Affairs Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif attended the meeting.
US embassy Chargé d'Affaires ad interim to Saudi Arabia Alison Dilworth was also present, along with several US officials.

Prince Khalid also received in Riyadh Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani.
They reviewed Saudi-Iranian relations and discussed regional developments, focusing on efforts to boost security and stability. They also addressed several other topics of mutual interest.
Attending the meeting were Minister of State, Cabinet Member, and National Security Adviser Dr. Musaed Al-Aiban; President of the General Intelligence Presidency Khalid Al-Humaidan; and several other officials.
From the Iranian side, attendees included Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Alireza Enayati and other officials.
