Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, departed for New York City on Friday evening to lead the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's delegation at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The Kingdom's delegation includes Saudi Ambassador to the United States of America Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz; Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member, and Climate Envoy Adel Al-Jubeir; Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Alibrahim; Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah; Deputy Minister for International Multilateral Affairs and General Supervisor of the Public Diplomacy Deputyship Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi; and Saudi Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Alwasil.
On the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will host a series of initiatives and high-level meetings aimed at strengthening regional and global security and stability, while advancing diplomatic, humanitarian, and development efforts. The Kingdom will chair the High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution at the leadership level. In addition, it will preside over the High-Level Ministerial Meeting of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with several other ministers, officials and members of the Kingdom's delegation, will also participate in the United Nations celebration marking the 80th anniversary of its founding. This will be in addition to several official meetings to strengthen international multilateral action, discuss regional and international developments and efforts to establish the foundations of international peace and security, and coordinate joint action to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
Bilateral meetings will also be held with representatives of brotherly and friendly countries, and a number of officials from international organizations participating in the High-Level Week of the United Nations General Assembly.
