Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, performed on Tuesday the funeral prayer for Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, whose passing was announced by the Royal Court earlier in the day.
The prayer was performed at the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh.
Following the prayer, Crown Prince Mohammed and the deceased’s sons received condolences from princes and religious scholars.
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud had ordered that funeral prayers in absentia also be performed at the Grand Mosque in Makkah, the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah, and in all mosques across the Kingdom.
