Saudi Minister of Health Fahad AlJalajel participated in the 11th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Health Ministers' Committee and the 88th Gulf Health Council meetings in Kuwait, reported the Saudi Press Agency on Saturday.
AlJalajel stressed that the meetings reflect the GCC leaders’ commitment to boosting health integration and improving services. These efforts aim to strengthen the GCC’s regional and international health presence and support global strategic partnerships.
Key discussion points included the Health Ministers' Committee work plan, ways to advance health integration, the development of Gulf health cities, and the standardization of classification and registration procedures for health specialties.
AlJalajel underlined the importance of adopting innovation and modern technologies, including artificial intelligence, to improve the quality of healthcare.
The meetings also highlighted the GCC states’ efforts in launching an award for innovation and excellence in health.
