The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka has won two awards at the Dragons of Asia awards: the Blue Dragon for Best Campaign in Japan and the Gold Dragon for Brand Building and/or Awareness.
This recognition, received in Kuala Lumpur, highlights the "Meet Saudi" initiative, which aims to enhance cultural communication between Saudi Arabia and Japan, SPA reported.
Launched during the International Participants Meeting in Himeji last January, the initiative began with a tour of Japan, covering seven cities: Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Nagoya, and Tokyo, to build momentum for the Saudi Pavilion's opening.
The campaign effectively showcased Saudi Arabia's cultural vision through innovative storytelling, earning praise for its integration of cultural narratives and real-world impact. It achieved record social media reach, ranking first in tier-one media coverage in Japan among international participants and attracting 40% of nearly three million visitors to the pavilion.
Winning the Blue and Gold Dragons marks a significant milestone in the Kingdom's cultural diplomacy, reinforcing its role in promoting cultural cooperation and innovation at Expo 2025 Osaka, while paving the way toward Expo 2030 Riyadh.
