Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah Alswaha continued his series of meetings with top tech officials during his official visit to the United States, holding talks on Thursday with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang.
They focused on prospects for strategic partnership in the latest artificial-intelligence (AI) infrastructure technologies and the empowerment of national capabilities in the Kingdom.
The meeting underscored the Kingdom’s leadership in adopting advanced technologies and developing AI-driven solutions, as well as its global position as a leading hub for innovation and emerging technologies, supporting its journey toward building a thriving digital economy based on knowledge and innovation.
Alswaha also met with Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan to discuss areas of partnership in developing semiconductor and advanced computing technologies and boosting collaboration in building AI infrastructure and future technologies.
The meetings are part of the Kingdom’s efforts to reinforce its position as a global hub for AI and advanced computing and to localize value chains in semiconductor technologies, in support of Saudi Vision 2030 objectives, strengthening the competitiveness of the digital economy and the Kingdom’s leadership in future technologies.
Alswaha met with Aurora Innovation CEO Chris Urmson to strengthen global partnerships in smart mobility and the development of autonomous driving solutions, supporting the adoption of modern technologies and the building of an advanced transport ecosystem that enhances the Kingdom’s leadership in innovation and AI.
In a separate meeting focused on developing the space sector, the minister met with SpinLaunch CEO Massimiliano Ladovaz to deepen cooperation in low-cost and sustainable space launch technologies, explore partnership opportunities to support space innovation, and empower space startups.
