Dr. Faisal bin Saud Al-Mujfel presented his credentials as the new Saudi Ambassador to Syria to President Ahmed al-Sharaa.
During the reception, Al-Mujfel conveyed to the Syrian president the well-wishes of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
In May, Saudi Arabia appointed Al-Mujfel as the new ambassador to Syria.
He is the Kingdom's first envoy to Damascus since the closure of the Saudi embassy there in 2012 during the Syrian civil war.
