The Muslim World League (MWL) strongly condemned on Tuesday “the horrific crimes and violations targeting civilians during recent attacks by the Rapid Support Forces on el-Fasher in Sudan.”

In a statement, MWL Secretary-General and Organization of Muslim Scholars Chairman Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa reiterated the league's urgent call on parties to respect the May 2023 Jeddah Declaration on protecting civilians.

He stressed the need “to pursue a serious and effective path of dialogue to end the devastating war, which has caused immense suffering and destruction to the Sudanese people.”

He also rejected “any actions that fuel and prolong the conflict or deepen its grave repercussions on the Sudanese people and their unity and national resources.”
