Saudi Arabia’s Chairman of the General Staff General Fayyad Al-Ruwaili decorated in Riyadh on Saturday Pakistan's Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad with the King Abdulaziz Medal (First Class).
The gesture is in implementation of a directive by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who is also Supreme Commander of All Military Forces.
The honor recognizes Shamshad’s efforts to strengthen friendship, promote cooperation, and advance Saudi-Pakistani relations.
During the ceremony, Al-Ruwaili and Shamshad reviewed aspects of defense and military cooperation, discussed ways to further develop them, and addressed several issues of mutual interest.
Several senior officers and officials from Saudi Arabia and Pakistan attended the meeting and decoration ceremony.
