US President Donald Trump hosted a dinner in honor of Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, at the White House on Tuesday.
The evening’s menu included a honeynut squash soup with cranberry relish, spiced hazelnuts and brown butter creme, followed by pistachio-crusted rack of lamb with sweet potato puree, broccoli rabe and pomegranate lemon jus.
Dessert was a couverture mousse pear with vanilla ice cream.
In a speech, Trump said US-Saudi relations have reached an all-time high, noting the enduring partnership established nearly eight decades ago between King Abdulaziz and President Roosevelt.
Crown Prince Mohammed expressed gratitude for the warm reception and underscoring the long-standing relations between Saudi Arabia and the US, which have evolved over decades. He highlighted significant opportunities for mutual benefit.
He remarked that the collaboration between the Kingdom and US is stronger than ever, hoping for deeper partnerships and greater opportunities in the future.
Guests inside the East Room included the Saudi delegation, Tesla founder Elon Musk, FIFA President Gianni Infantino and football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Crown Prince Mohammed had held talks with Trump at the White House earlier on Tuesday.
They chaired the Saudi-US summit, which reviewed bilateral relations, discussed joint efforts to boost the Saudi-US strategic partnership across various fields, and examined regional and international developments.
Crown Prince Mohammed and Trump signed a strategic defense agreement at the summit, as well as several other agreements.
