Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received a phone call on Wednesday from Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, during which they discussed the military escalation in the region and its repercussions on security and stability.
During the call, the Iraqi PM stressed the need to halt the attacks that pose a threat to regional and international security and peace, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
According to a statement from al-Sudani’s office, the PM reiterated that Iraq rejects being used as a launch point for attacks against other countries and also opposes strikes on its own territory.
The Crown Prince also received on Wednesday a phone call from Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, SPA said.
During the call, they reviewed developments in the region and the military escalation’s serious implications for regional and global peace, it added.
The Indonesian president emphasized the need for an immediate halt to military actions, saying they undermine regional security and stability.
