GCC Hails India’s Condemnation of Iranian Attacks against Kuwait

Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Albudaiwi commended on Thursday India’s condemnation of the Iranian attacks against Kuwait that also called for the protection of citizens and civilian infrastructure.

In a message to Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, the Indian External Affairs Minister, Albudaiwi expressed condolences over the death of an Indian citizen and injuries to others caused by the recent Iranian attacks on Kuwait.

Albudaiwi said India’s position reflects the deep and strategic partnership between New Delhi and the Gulf Cooperation Council states, as well as their shared commitment to upholding international law and preserving regional security and stability.

Albudaiwi stressed that continued Iranian attacks demand a united international response to protect Gulf residents and hold those responsible accountable.

In implementation of the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, a Saudi relief plane operated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) arrived in Nepal carrying various relief supplies.

A specialized team from KSrelief will coordinate aid distribution with relevant local authorities to ensure it reaches individuals affected by the recent floods that struck Nepal, causing significant loss of life and property damage, SPA reported.

Saudi Ambassador to Nepal Fahd bin Mnikhr stated that this support reflects the Kingdom's commitment, under the directives of its wise leadership, to stand with friendly nations to alleviate the humanitarian impact of natural disasters.

He added that the initiative highlights the Kingdom's leading role in bolstering international humanitarian efforts.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has sent a message to United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, inviting him to participate in the second GCC-EU Summit, which Saudi Arabia will host this October, SPA reported.

The message was delivered by Saudi Ambassador to the UAE Sultan Al-Angari during a meeting with UAE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar at the ministry's headquarters in Abu Dhabi, where the two sides discussed prospects for cooperation between the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the European Union, alongside shared aspirations for the success of the upcoming summit.

Official Spokesperson of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen Major General Turki Al-Malki stated that three ballistic missiles launched by the terrorist Houthi militia, two toward Riyadh and one toward Khamis Mushait, were intercepted and destroyed.
