Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held separate phone calls on Thursday with his Qatari, Jordanian and Greek counterparts to discuss regional developments, efforts to ease tensions and the need to safeguard freedom of navigation in the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

With the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, the ministers also coordinated diplomatic efforts to bolster regional security and stability.

They stressed the importance of protecting maritime navigation and rejecting any actions that threaten its safety.

Prince Faisal also reviewed bilateral ties with Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis.
