The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the heinous terrorist attack carried out by the Iran-backed Houthi militia against a vessel belonging to a Saudi company while sailing in the Red Sea.

The attack caused a fire to break out on the vessel's bow, with no injuries reported.

The ministry described the attack as a blatant violation of international law and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, as well as a serious threat to maritime navigation security, the safety of international trade, and energy supplies, SPA reported.

The ministry reiterated Bahrain's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its complete support for the legitimate measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty, security, stability, and vital interests.

It renewed its call on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to fulfill its responsibilities in putting an end to these terrorist attacks, taking deterrent measures to protect the security and safety of maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, Bab Al-Mandab Strait, and other vital waterways, and holding those responsible for these attacks accountable in a manner that preserves regional and global security and stability.

For its part, Kuwait also strongly condemned and denounced the attack carried out by the Houthi militia against the Saudi vessel, describing it as a flagrant violation of international law and a direct threat to maritime security, freedom of navigation, the safety of international trade, and global energy supplies.

In a statement, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Kuwait's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reiterating its support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty and protect its security and interests.

The ministry also stressed Kuwait's rejection of any practices that could undermine the region's security and stability.

Several Arab, Islamic, and Gulf bodies strongly condemned the Houthi terrorist attacks targeting Saudi airports, reaffirming their solidarity with the Kingdom and support for all measures taken to protect its security and civilian infrastructure.

The Muslim World League (MWL), Jordan, Bahrain, Arab Interior Ministers Council Secretariat, and GCC Secretary General condemned the latest Houthi aggression against the Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh resulting in the death and injury of several individuals.

They emphasized that such acts violate religious values, as well as international and humanitarian laws and norms, and further demonstrate the criminal nature of the Houthi militia through its deliberate targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure.

They reaffirmed full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to deter aggression and safeguard its security and the safety of its citizens and residents.

Later during the day, Syria, Egypt and France joined the condemnations and expressed full solidarity and support for the Kingdom’s efforts to defend its territory and infrastructure against these attacks.

In a statement, France’s Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs called on the Houthi militia to immediately cease its attacks and provocations, warning that they further destabilize the region and exacerbate the suffering of the Yemeni people.

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) announced that three people were killed and 36 injured in two separate attacks on its Abha and Riyadh airports on Tuesday and Wednesday.
