Jordan condemned the attack launched by the Houthi militia against a Saudi vessel as it transited the Red Sea, calling it a flagrant violation of international law and the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, as well as a threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation, SPA reported.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates reaffirmed Jordan’s rejection and condemnation of the attack, stressing its absolute solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its full support for all measures the Kingdom takes to protect its security, stability, and national resources.
