An official source at the Transport General Authority (TGA) said that the Saudi vessel NCC MASA, operated by a Saudi company, was targeted while sailing in the Red Sea on Friday resulting in minor damage to its hull.
Speaking on Friday, the source said the vessel continued its voyage to its destination after the safety of the crew and vessel had been confirmed.
The source added that the continued targeting of commercial vessels is a violation of international laws and norms that guarantee the safety of commercial ships and their crews.
