Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi received Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Republic of Yemen Dr. Afrah Abdulaziz Al Zouba on Monday.
Albudaiwi congratulated the minister on assuming the portfolio of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Yemen, wishing her success in performing her duties, SPA reported.
The two officials discussed the firmly established fraternal ties between the GCC and Yemen, as well as the latest developments in the country and ongoing efforts to bolster security and stability and support pathways of peace and development.
The secretary-general underscored the GCC's firm stance supporting all efforts that achieve security and stability in Yemen.
He also underlined the council's continued backing for all humanitarian and relief endeavors aimed at alleviating the suffering of the brotherly Yemeni people in coordination with regional and international partners.
