The Lebanese Army said in a statement on Tuesday that it has seized Grad rockets that were smuggled from Syria into Lebanese territory.

In the statement, the Lebanese army said an army unit seized 122 mm Grad rockets in the mountainous outskirts of Arsal after tracking cross-border smuggling operations along Lebanon's northern and eastern frontiers. It said the rockets had been smuggled from Syria into Lebanon.

A vehicle used to transport the rockets was also seized by the army. Two Lebanese men, identified by the military as members of the smuggling network, were arrested.
