Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi on Friday strongly condemned the terrorist attacks carried out by the Houthi militia targeting Saudi Arabia’s Najran Region.
Albudaiwi underscored that “this heinous terrorist crime represents a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law,” describing it as a crime requiring accountability due to its deliberate and indiscriminate targeting of civilians and civilian objects, in blatant defiance of all international norms, and posing a serious threat to regional and world security and stability.
Albudaiwi stressed that the Kingdom’s security is an integral part of the security of the GCC states, and that the council stands united with Saudi Arabia, supporting all measures it takes to protect its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and to safeguard the security of its citizens and residents.
