The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) called on Iran to be more “clear” in its investigation into the attacks against the Saudi embassy in Tehran and its consulate in Mashhad in early 2016.

The OIC General Secretariat urged Iranian authorities for more cooperation in the probes as it had vowed to do so.

The authorities should, based on OIC principles, work seriously to deter any escalation in stances in order to eliminate any vagueness that can only complicate the case, it added.

The remarks were made in wake of a Saudi Foreign Ministry statement last week that accused Iranian authorities of “persistently and consistently stalling” in the investigation into the embassy and consulate attacks.

The Islamic organization stressed the importance of “transparency and integrity” that would benefit Iran and Saudi Arabia and respect Riyadh’s legitimate demands.

Iran, despite an initial approval, has denied a Saudi team entry into Iran as part of the Iranian team investigating the attacks on the Saudi Arabian embassy in Tehran and its consulate in Mashhad, said a Foreign Ministry source last week according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Riyadh Art has announced the installation of two new works in its permanent collection: "Run Beyond" by Italian artist Angelo Bonello and "Family Tree" by Indian artist Subodh Gupta, reflecting Riyadh's continued transformation into an open-air museum woven into the fabric of daily life.

The two works carry complementary themes—the first exploring movement and progress, the second evoking memory and human connection, together expressing a city undergoing rapid transformation while preserving its human and cultural dimension, SPA reported.

Riyadh Art's permanent collection now comprises 75 artworks across the capital, with new works planned for 2026, featuring artists from 47 countries alongside Saudi artists, making it one of the largest public art initiatives globally.

Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit strongly condemned the Iranian attacks targeting the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan with ballistic missiles and drones.

In a statement, Aboul Gheit expressed deep concern over Iran’s continued targeting of Arab territories as a means of escalation, stressing that such an approach reflects an attempt to undermine Arab regional security, SPA reported.

He reiterated his full solidarity with Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan and also called on all parties concerned to expedite efforts to reach an agreement that would end the crisis, which has now persisted for 100 days.
