Saudi cyclist Ameen Al Hayyan won the first-ever Asian gold medal for Saudi Cycling at the Asian Track Championships 2025, held in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, reported the Saudi Press Agency on Thursday.
The championships, running February 21 to 27, feature an impressive lineup of 300 athletes representing 16 Asian nations.
Al Hayyan triumphed in a fiercely contested elimination race in the men's junior category, outpacing 11 competitors to claim the gold medal. Hong Kong's Yik Fei Ma came second, clinching the silver, while UAE's Yousuf Amiri earned the bronze.
