Israel has set Iran's 90 percent enrichment of uranium as the "red line" before striking its nuclear facilities, according to a top military official.
Another official said that Iran is preparing its arms in the region to launch an all-out multi-front war against Israel in the event of such an attack on Tehran. Israel will precede that by establishing a sudden strong blow to Hezbollah, it thwarts its ability to respond.
Earlier, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said there is nothing wrong with the agreement with the West, but the infrastructure of the nuclear industry should not be touched.
A senior Israeli official said Monday to the right-wing newspaper, Israel Hayom, that "Iran knows that breaking out to 90 percent purity in uranium enrichment will result in an Israeli strike."
The official, who declined to be named, assessed that despite the US trying hard to finalize an agreement with Iran, it will not be realized because Khamenei wants to avoid such an outcome.
He noted with concern that Iran's stockpiles of enriched uranium are now more than 23 times the limit set in 2015.
Iran's stockpiles of enriched uranium are now more than 23 times the limit set out in 2015. As of May 13, Iran's total enriched uranium stockpile was estimated at 10,459 pounds. The limit in the 2015 deal was 447 pounds.
The report also said Iran continued uranium enrichment to levels higher than the authorized limit of 3.67 percent.
Meanwhile, military officials in Tel Aviv warned of Iran's counterplan to confront the Israeli attack, saying Iran was trying to coordinate the fronts in Syria, Lebanon, the West Bank, Gaza, and Yemen to surround Israel and impose a multi-front war.
Israel is working to surprise Hezbollah with an attack amid defensive and offensive preparations from both sides.
Former Israeli general Jacques Neriah told the Israeli "i24" channel that Hezbollah's planning to launch a war includes launching thousands of missiles toward Israel, then introducing special forces to destroy four military sites and seize cities such as Karmiel, Kiryat Shmona, and Nahariya.
Neriah asserted that Israel would be ready to confront this plan, adding that at least 2,000 missiles would be fired daily at Israel during a war with Hezbollah.
He indicated that if Iran becomes a nuclear state, Israel will not have a fighting chance against Hezbollah because Tehran's deterrence will be nuclear, and Tel Aviv will not accept this.
An Israeli military commander in the reserve army, Sarit Zehavi, told i24 that a dangerous escalation in southern Lebanon aimed to undermine the role of the UN peacekeeper (UNIFIL) forces and turn them into human shields in the event of war.
Zehavi noted that the region witnessed Hezbollah provocation after the Israeli army attempted to build a wall in the Shebaa Farms and escalated after Lebanese soldiers directed RPG weapons at Israeli soldiers.
She claimed that UNIFIL troops do not dare approach Hezbollah members who roam the borders freely, stating that the UNIFIL is banned from nearing 20 areas in southern Lebanon.
