Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has stressed the Kingdom's commitment to political solutions to Middle East crises in cooperation with the United Nations.
The Crown Prince highlighted the fact that Saudi Arabia is a vital member of the UN and has historically been supportive of UN efforts and abiding by international laws.
Following talks with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in New York on Tuesday, Prince Mohammed reiterated that problems facing the Middle East are a result of borderless ideologies that have nothing to do with national interests.
Furthermore, he pointed out that problems in the Middle East originate from ideas that do not believe in the principles of the UN and blatantly violate all laws and norms.
He also stressed the importance of applying the principles of international law.
He said that the Kingdom is defending its interests, preserving its security and working with its allies in the Middle East for the security and stability of the region.
