The Arab Coalition said on Friday that it intercepted a drone launched by the Houthi terrorist militias towards the Saudi city of Jazan.
Spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki said in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency that Coalition forces downed the drone, which the insurgents launched towards civilian areas in Jazan.
“All Houthi hostile attempts are doomed to fail,” he was quoted as saying by SPA.
Later, a source from the Coalition said the Iran-backed Houthis were suffering losses and defeats on a daily basis, forcing them to resort to lies and claim false victories through their media.
The source mocked the Houthi claims that they had downed a Coalition drone, saying such allegations are baseless and are part of the series of lies the militias resort to in order to boost the morale of their fighters.
It noted that the Houthis used old photographs to back their false claim about the downing of the drone.
