The Israeli army fired heavy artillery at dawn on Tuesday towards the outskirts of Lebanon’s southern towns of al-Naqoura and Mount Labbouneh, the Markaziya news agency said.
Throughout the night, Israel has also fired flare bombs above the border towns adjacent to the Blue Line. Israeli reconnaissance planes continued to hover over Tyre and Bint Jbeil.
On its part, Hezbollah said it targeted Israeli forces in the vicinity of al-Raheb military site.
Israeli warplanes conducted raids at night targeting the towns of Soltanieh and Seddiqin. Several people were injured and material damages were reported.
Israel has lately started to target the water tanks and solar panels usually found on the roofs of houses in South Lebanon.
Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah militant group have traded fire nearly every day since the start of the war in Gaza. Hezbollah says it is trying to pin down Israeli forces in the north to aid Hamas, the Palestinian group.
