Iran warned Israel on Sunday against what it called any "new adventure" in Lebanon, in a statement issued by foreign ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani.

Israeli authorities blamed Iran-backed Hezbollah for a rocket attack that hit a football ground in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, killing 12 people on Saturday, and vowed to inflict a heavy response. Hezbollah denied any responsibility for the strike.

Israeli aircraft carried out attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon overnight, the Israeli military said on Sunday, after the rocket that was fired at the soccer pitch.

The Israeli ambulance service said 13 more people were wounded by the rocket that hit the pitch which was filled at the time with children and teenagers.

"Overnight, the IAF struck a series of Hezbollah terror targets both deep inside Lebanese territory and in southern Lebanon, including weapons caches and terrorist infrastructure in the areas of Chabriha, Borj El Chmali, and Bekaa, Kfarkila, Rab El Thalathine, Khiam, and Tayr Harfa," the Israeli military said.

Yemenia Airways announced on Sunday that commercial flights from Yemen's Sanaa to Egypt and India will resume starting Sunday evening, Yemen's state news agency SABA said.

Return flights to Cairo will operate once daily, while flights to India will run twice weekly. The resumption in flights are part of an agreement between Saudi Arabia and Yemen aimed at calming hostilities in Yemen's decade-old civil war, according to Reuters.

Flights between Sanaa and Cairo had been halted since late 2016.
