Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received in Doha on Monday Saudi Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan.

Prince Badr is in Qatar on an official visit for the opening of Doha International Book Fair.

Prince Badr conveyed the greetings Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to Sheikh Tamim.

Prince Badr praised the historic ties between Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

He hailed the signing of a memorandum of understanding on cultural affairs between the Saudi and Qatari ministries of culture.

He underlined their commitment to work on initiatives withing the Culture, Tourism, and Entertainment Committee of the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council.

The council is an inclusive framework for strengthening bilateral ties and advancing cooperation between the nations in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and Qatar National Vision 2030. The movement will meet the leadership's aspirations and achieve the interests of their two brotherly peoples.

Over 100,000 Visitors Attend Al-Jouf International Olive Festival

The 18th Al-Jouf International Olive Festival has attracted more than 100,000 visitors over the past five days, including attendees from both within and outside the Kingdom.

Organized by the Municipality of Al-Jouf Region at the Prince Abdullah Cultural Center in Sakaka, the festival offers a range of activities designed to enrich visitors’ experiences. These include Olive Kitchen, Olive Gallery, Oliva Park, and areas for productive families, SPA reported.

The event has become a key attraction for olive enthusiasts, producers, and experts on local, regional, and international levels.
Chief Executive Officer of the festival Omar bin Abdulaziz Al-Hamwan announced that the festival will continue until January 12.
