The Cultural Development Fund (CDF) announced its participation in the second annual Saudi Film Confex, scheduled October 9 to 12 in Riyadh.
The Saudi Film Confex is organized by the Film Commission under the patronage of Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, who also serves as chairman of the board of directors for both the Film Commission and the CDF.
It aims to empower and develop the film industry in the Kingdom while enhancing investment opportunities and partnerships to build a sustainable future for the sector.
The 2024 edition will feature participation from 120 entities from 25 countries.
It includes an exhibition showcasing leading local, regional, and global companies to highlight key opportunities and innovations in the film sector, along with a specialized conference addressing all aspects of the film industry.
The CDF was established in 2021 as a developmental fund linked to the National Development Fund (NDF).
Its goal is to develop the cultural sector and achieve sustainability by supporting cultural activities and projects, facilitating investment in cultural activities, enhancing the sector's profitability, and enabling stakeholders to advance their cultural endeavors.
The CDF plays a key role in achieving the objectives of the National Strategy for Culture and the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
