The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL), in collaboration with Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York, will celebrate this year’s World Arabic Language Day under the theme, 'Arabic Language and Artificial Intelligence: Fostering Innovation While Preserving Cultural Heritage.'
The celebration will take place from December 9 to 11 at the UN headquarters under the patronage of Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan. The event will be attended by high-ranking international and diplomatic figures.
This marks the fourth consecutive year of the celebration, reflecting the academy’s ongoing efforts to enhance the presence of the Arabic language in international organizations and underscoring the Kingdom's commitment to supporting the Arabic language while highlighting its rich cultural and scientific heritage.
As part of the celebration, KSGAAL will host a panel discussion titled 'Arabic Translation at the United Nations,' featuring a group of international experts and specialists. Additionally, a virtual training course titled 'Arabic Translation Skills for Diplomatic Purposes' will be offered to UN staff.
The celebration will also feature the Arabic Language Exhibition, showcasing artistic works and digital displays that highlight the beauty, history, and influence of the Arabic language on other civilizations. The exhibition will reflect the authenticity of Saudi culture and its artistic expressions while introducing visitors to the academy, its activities, and its publications.
