Under the patronage of Aseer Region Governor and Chairman of the Aseer Development Authority Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, the second edition of the Saudi Coffee Festival will kick on Friday in Rijal Almaa.
More than 30 farmers will participate in the festival, showcasing their Saudi coffee products, which have seen significant growth over the past year.
The event will also feature artisans, relevant charitable associations, and local families working in the cottage industry, making the festival a key meeting point for farmers and coffee enthusiasts in Aseer.
Rijal Almaa CO-OP Association of Coffee CEO Ali Sayyad stressed that the festival serves as a vital platform for marketing local products, particularly Saudi coffee, a primary income source for many in the governorate, according to SPA.
He highlighted that interest in coffee cultivation has contributed to improving income levels and raising awareness of the importance of preserving this agricultural heritage.
Coffee farming in Rijal Almaa is a long-standing tradition passed down through generations, with some coffee trees in the governorate exceeding 200 years of age.
Sayyad noted that the previous festival attracted more than 20,000 visitors, further boosting interest in coffee cultivation.
