The first Saudi relief airplane, operated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), arrived in Sudan on Tuesday, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

The plane landed at Port Sudan International Airport as part of the Saudi relief airlift.

The airlift is in line with the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to aid the people of Sudan.

The first relief airplane carried 10 tons of food, shelter, and medical supplies.

According to KSrelief Spokesman Dr. Samer Al-Jutaili, the humanitarian aid is a continuation of the Kingdom's efforts to aid Sudan in various humanitarian and relief sectors.

The Advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, inaugurated a volunteer program to distribute food baskets to those affected by the recent earthquake in Syria and Türkiye in the Turkish cities of Reyhaniya and Gaziantep.

The event, which took place two days before, was attended by the Governor of Hatay Province, Mustafa Masatli, and several officials, SPA reported.
The program aims to distribute food baskets in the camps of Reyhaniya and the state of Gaziantep, benefiting 2,000 individuals.

These efforts are part of the humanitarian and relief programs implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian and Turkish people affected by recent earthquakes.
