Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris on Friday.

Upon his arrival at the Elysee Palace, the Saudi Crown Prince was received by the French President, who welcomed him to France, wishing him and the accompanying delegation a pleasant stay.

The Crown Prince was also received by the ministers of the French Cabinet and senior officials.

He and the French President held a bilateral meeting attended by members of the delegations of the two countries.

At the outset of the meeting, the Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to the French President, who in turn conveyed his greetings to King Salman.

During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the historical and strategic relations between the two countries and ways to develop them in all fields, in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples, in addition to exchanging views on international and regional developments.

The relations between the Kingdom and France have been growing in various fields, including politics, economics, culture, and defense, the Saudi Press Agency reported Friday.

It said France views the Kingdom as a reliable ally with a crucial role in upholding peace and stability in the region, leading to ongoing coordination between the French and Saudi leaderships to find solutions to global issues and crises.

The Kingdom also actively cooperates with France in counterterrorism efforts.

SPA added that Saudi Arabia greatly values France's support for its bid to host World Expo 2030.

It said that over the past six decades, the two countries have maintained consistent cultural collaboration, actively working together to enhance various aspects such as museum development, the film industry, and heritage preservation. Currently, they are jointly engaged in a sustainable development project for AlUla, with France focusing on improving the city's cultural and tourist infrastructure due to its rich historical significance and World Heritage Sites.

During their meeting in Riyadh on Wednesday, they discussed the strong relations between Saudi Arabia and France and explored ways to further enhance them.

They also reviewed regional issues, with a particular focus on the situations in Gaza and Lebanon, along with ongoing efforts to address these developments.
